Katie Hatch is a board member on the Advocacy Committee, and has a certain passion for getting pumped up! Katie is currently a resident physician in Emergency Medicine in Oakland, California where she is invested in finding creative solutions to promote wellness among populations struggling with homelessness, addiction, discrimination, and lack of access to resources. She has previously worked as a researcher exploring the effects of poverty and violence on academic achievement, a co-director for a student-run clinic for the homeless, and as the director of a TED conference on innovation in medicine at Columbia University Medical Center in NYC. She especially loves ideas and projects that help people become innovative problem solvers, work together as communities, and appreciate each other and the natural world. Terra Cultura exemplifies all these values, and she is excited to be a part of building it and sharing it with others.
