Group Visits and Field Trips

Bring your class or group to the farm, and get your hands dirty!

We can’t wait to see you here on the farm! Our field trips and group visits offer kids teens and adults an opportunity to play an active role in our food system, and see where and how our food is created.

Environmental Stewardship for the Next Generation

Groups will participate in hands-on farm activities encompassing every aspect of their food system, from soil science, to seeds and germination, to cultivation and harvesting, and even food preparation and composting! All our lessons follow the Next Generation Science Standards, providing a holistic, rich, and rewarding experience for students of all ages.

If your group or class is currently studying a specific subject or aspect of the environment, feel free to let us know, we can make sure to tailor your experience to match your needs.

Eco-Arts: Putting the Culture in Agriculture

At Terra Cultura, we are constantly exploring the close relationships between environmental stewardship and the arts. Each group visit, in addition to a farm or ecological activity, our group visits also include an Eco-Arts projects for attendees. These projects pull in the use of natural and found materials to spark creativity and curiosity in the world around us. From creating inks and paints from natural dyes and pigments, to taking textural rubbings from bark and leaves in the forest, our group visits help to foster reciprocal exchange between art, community, and agriculture.
